I am now officially in Chengdu. Its pretty awesome. Its all green and pretty. For all you California peeps, think of San Francisco with out the coast. But you still have the fog. And its warmer. Maybe a mix of NorCal and Oregon? Aaaanyways,
I’m in Chengdu now. Its cool.
I share an apartment with my brother. Its pretty big. The amount of filth in it was scary, but now it is getting pretty homey with all the cleaning we have been doing.
We have no internet so we have been going to cafes to use the free wifi there. Last Saturday we got lost on the way back from one and wandered for three hours. It would seem that we live on South Yulin. And there are many Yulins…
Our apartment is on the fifth floor with no elevator so my legs are going to be awesome by the end of the internship.
I have taught some classes already and the kids are great. They love playing hangman and the time really flies. The classes are 40 min. long, but that’s really short once you get in there. I will be teaching about 20 classes a week and then go from 8:40am to around 5:30pm.
I dont have much else to talk about since I haven’t been here that long, but I will definitely post soon some more about the schools and the city. And prolly some sarcastic comments as well.
